SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS COW-CALF CLINIC COMING THIS MONTH

  

The South Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic is coming to Brenham at the end of this month.

Live cattle demonstrations, calving season recommendations, proper chute-side methods and other presentations are scheduled for October 28th. Participants who register and attend the full day of programming can enter to win a free heifer, sponsored by the Washington County Beef and Forage Committee and Texas Farm Credit. Attendees must be present to win.

Tickets for the clinic are $20 and includes lunch. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the program taking place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Two continuing education units will be offered: one integrated pest management and one general to Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide applicators license holders. Beef Quality Assurance credits will also be available for specific presentations.

The clinic will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds Sales Facility. The program is sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and beef committees from Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Fayette, Grimes, Harris, Lee, Washington and Waller counties.
