SCHULENBURG MAN LEADS POLICE ON CHASE
A Schulenburg man was taken into custody after leading police on a vehicle chase.
A 911 call came in Monday evening, alleging 58-year-old Michael Maddox shot a firearm in the direction of his neighbor and then fled the scene.
As deputies were responding, they saw Maddox on Highway 90 traveling west in a vehicle. Maddox reportedly failed to stop for authorities and a pursuit ensued.
A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper set spike strips at the intersection of Bruno Road and FM 2672, just outside of Schulenburg.
Maddox’s tired were deflated and he was taken into custody.
He is charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and deadly conduct. His bond is set at $5,000.
