WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEAR MONTHLY REPORTS

Compliance Captain Amy Klussmann presents the monthly EMS report.

The County Commissioners meeting this (Tuesday) morning was mostly monthly reports by the different county departments.  Captain Claude Free from the Sheriff’s Office presented their report.  He stated that the theft amount was up for the month, due mostly to two tractors that were stolen.  He also noted that there were 120 animal calls during the month, mostly livestock out calls.  He said that the Sheriff’s office is now issuing citations to property owners who repeatedly have livestock escaping.

911 Director Kristi Stamnes presented the emergency dispatch report.  She said they received 6265 calls during the month, up from the same period last year.  She noted that the time from when a call comes in to when unit is dispatched is down to an average of 36 seconds now.

EMS Compliance Captain Amy Klussmann presented the EMS monthly report.  It showed that EMS responded to 631 calls in June, down from 714 in May and 800 in April.  Calls within the City of Brenham had an average response time of 6 minutes and 51 seconds.  There were 103 patient transfers during the month, right at the average for June.

In the only non-report action by the commissioners, a subdivision variance request was approved for a land division on a tract on Highway 36 South and Bilski lane.
