AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING SHOOTING AT BURTON SHORT STOP
An investigation is underway into a Sunday afternoon shooting in Burton.
The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. at the Burton Short Stop convenience store on FM 390.
One person was shot and was flown to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan in unknown condition.
Details on the circumstances of the shooting are limited.
Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak said his office is being assisted by the Texas Rangers in the investigation. A suspect is not in custody at this time.
