BRENHAM POLICE REPORT THEFT FROM LOCAL WALMART
Brenham Police report a theft of property from a local business.
On Tuesday, Oct 6th at around 3:00pm, Office Jonathan Phipps responded to a call from the Brenham Walmart at 203 U.S. 290 W to a report of a theft.
Phipps met with the Walmart employee, who reports that a female had come into the Walmart to have a battery installed in her vehicle.
Once the battery was installed, the woman remarked that she wanted the battery taken out because she did not have the money to pay for it.
The Walmart employee told her that he could not replace the old battery back into the vehicle due to the old battery having a leak.
The woman then said she would go to the ATM at the front of the store to get some money. The woman went towards the machine, then left the store without paying for the battery, which has a value of $104.97.
