Lee County residents in need of food or water are invited this (Tuesday) afternoon to one of three food distribution sites.

The county has received shipments of prepackaged, ready-to-eat meals and bottled water from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Meals and drinking water can be picked up starting at 3 p.m. and ending around 5 p.m. at the Giddings Food Pantry at 190 South Harris Street, Lexington United Methodist Church at the corner of Hale and Second Streets, and the Dime Box Volunteer Fire Station at 1010 Stephen F. Austin Boulevard.  Roughly 20,000 meals will be available.
