“FOOD FOR FAMILIES” FOOD DRIVE COLLECTS OVER $144,000 IN GOODS

  

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of food were donated Wednesday, as part of the Food for Families Food Drive put on by Brazos Valley Food bank and KBTX.

Numbers from KBTX’s Operations Manager Stacy Colvin show that, across the Brazos Valley, over 177,000 pounds and $144,000 worth of goods were donated at each of the five donation spots.

Numbers are still being counted at the Brazos Center in Bryan, but so far, the center collected over $100,000 in donations.

Donations hit $26,000 in Burleson County, $8,000 for Grimes County, $5,800 in Madison County, and $1,600 for Robertson County.
