HORTICULTURE PRESENTATION SEPTEMBER 20TH IN ROUND TOP
Area landowners are invited next weekend to a seminar in Round Top, where they can learn about different types of horticulture.
The presentation will be held next Friday, September 20th at the Winedale Historical Complex Theater Barn in Round Top, located at 3738 FM 2714. Program registration opens at 1 p.m., with the program running from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
The session will be led by Dr. Larry Stein, Associate Head Professor and Extension Horticulturist. Dr. Stein will go over information about fruit trees, grapes, pecans, and olives. Attendees will take part in an onsite demonstration at the orchard at Winedale, then travel to a nearby working orchard owned by Tim Meier.
Cost for the meeting is $20, which covers drinks and refreshments. Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for pesticide applicators will be offered as they are applicable.
