The new book, titled Better Angels, tells the story of Sadie Keller, who at age seven was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Just two months after she was diagnosed, she began making videos talking about what life as a child with cancer is like.  Her videos shortly went viral, and she began working with McCaul at the age of eight to lobby in Washington D.C. for the passage of several childhood cancer acts.

Keller, along with McCaul, the founder of the Childhood Cancer Caucus, has helped lobby the passage of the Creating Hope Act, RACE for Children Act, and the STAR Act.  According to McCaul, Keller’s work has also led to new drugs and advances in cancer research and treatment.

All proceeds from book sales will be distributed to childhood cancer research charities.  The book is available in bookstores and online through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, IndieBound, and www.betterangelsbook.com.
