WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR QUEEN CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED

  

The Washington County Fair Queen candidates were announced Monday evening at the Fairgrounds Event Center. The four candidates took to the stage to introduce themselves.

Alexis Michelle Chaudron is representing Brenham FFA. A Junior at Brenham High School, Alexis is a member of the school’s student council and works as the basketball team manager. She volunteers with Adam Angels, Bluebell Fun Run, and Cheer Factory. Alexis is the daughter of Wesley and Amy Stewart, and the late Jacob Chaudron.

Holli Renee Baker is representing Burton FFA. She is a Junior at Burton High School where she is involved in the Beta Club, FFA, Burton 4H, volleyball, basketball, and the livestock judging team. In the community, Holli paints houses for the Lutheran Youth Organization and keeps scores at little league games. Holli is the daughter of Robert and Jennifer Baker.

Indigo Bella Podeszwa is representing Washington County 4H. She is a Junior at Brenham Christian Academy. At school, Indigo participates in varsity cheerleading, volleyball, and basketball. She volunteers at Camp for All, Sandy Creek Bible Camp, and the Brenham Animal Shelter. Indigo is the daughter of Kurt and Kate Podeszwa.

Carli Conway is representing Washington County 4H. Carli is a Senior at Brenham High School where she is involved in the Brenham FFA. She is a former member of the student council and volleyball team. Within the community, Carli is involved with the Heritage Belle Society of Brenham. She is a second year ambassador and the 2016-2017 Executive Vice President. She is also the upcoming President of the Sandy Hill 4H club. Carli is the daughter of Dwight and Brandi Conway.

The 148th Washington County Fair kicks off Friday, September 9th. The Fair Queen will be crowned September 10th at 6 p.m. at a ceremony at the Entertainment Pavilion. Season tickets are available from the Queen candidates for $25 each. Tickets can be purchased through the Queen candidates from August 1st until September 9th at 5 p.m. The price for season tickets increases to $30 if purchased at the gate.
