BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND IN CHAPPELL HILL

Thousands will flock to Chappell Hill this weekend to celebrate the 53rd Annual Bluebonnet Festival.

The event is happening in downtown Chappell Hill today (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Our community of Chappell Hill has been preparing for what we expect to be one of the largest crowds in history for this year’s Bluebonnet Festival” said Joel Romo, President of the Chappell Hill Historical Society.

The event is free, but parking is $5.

The Chappell Hill Historical Society will be giving tours of the community. There will be country-style food, pony rides, a petting zoo, artists, and over 250 juried vendors.

“Chappell Hill loves to showcase our community and share our country atmosphere with guest from around Texas and the world” said Romo.

Live music will be happening throughout the two day event on three different stages. There will be performances by Abigail Taylor, Cloggers Unlimited, Julia Hatfield, Jim Mazurkiewicz and Polska Kapela, Trey & Amerida, Jeff Jacobs Band and Gary Durrenberger.

“Families can enjoy the picturesque countryside and welcome in the spring season while celebrating the state flower, the Texas Bluebonnet,” said Romo.
