BODIES FOUND IN HOUSE FIRE IN HEARNE

Two bodies were found inside a home that had burned down Friday in Hearne. A firefighter was also injured while trying to put out the fire.

Firefighters responded to the 1500 block of Sycamore Street at around 4:00am and reportedly had a tough time getting into the home due to a padlock on the door.

Hearne Police confirmed that there was a call reporting domestic disturbance at the home less than two hours before the fire. One of the suspects in that incident was later detained but no charges have been filed against that person at this time.

Also, Randal Barrow, a volunteer firefighter and Hearne police officer was injured while fighting the fire. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for treatment and later released. Barrow is in stable condition.

It was reported that the family had just moved into the house on Thursday.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting with the investigation.
