BRENHAM TENNIS ENDS FALL SEASON WITH 16-3 WIN
The Brenham High School tennis team finished up the Fall season with a win against Spring Woods Tuesday night by the score of 16-3.
Winning for the Cubs on the girls side were #1 girls doubles Kaitlyn Hamilton/Karlie Weidemann 8-2, and #3 girls doubles Harlie Lewman/Stephanie Rivera 8-5.
In girls singles winners were #1 Kaitlyn Hamilton 8-3. #2 Karlie Weidemann 6-1, 6-0. #3 Kathryn Robinson 8-1, and #5 Katie Murski 8-5.
On the boys side winners were #1 boys doubles Aren Holt/Nick Summerour 8-3. #2 boys doubles Dalton Barron/Gunnar Smith 8-2 and #3 boys doubles Hunter Griffin/Spencer Flynn 8-0.
In boys singles winners were #1 Aren Holt 6-2, 6-3. #2 Dalton Barron 6-0, 6-0. #3 Nick Summerour 8-3. #4 Spencer Flynn 6-2, 6-1. #5 Gunnar Smith 6-0, 6-0, and #6 Hunter Griffin 6-1, 6-1.
Also winning the the mixed doubles were Kathryn Robinson/Andrew Trostle 7-4.
“I thought everyone played extremely well,” said Brenham tennis coach, Roy Thibodeaux.
“We got off to a quick start and established an early lead which made a big difference. When you get ahead its easier to relax and hit the ball with confidence.”
“This was a good way for us to end the season on a high note and look forward to the Spring.”
