COMMUNITY CELEBRATES VETERANS AT FIREMAN’S PARK
Community members and local leadership from Washington County and surrounding areas came together today (Friday) to pay tribute to the men and women in the military during the Veterans Day Program at Fireman’s Park.
A large crowd gathered in the American Legion hall and heard from Washington County Judge John Brieden, Rep. Leighton Schubert, and the keynote speaker- Gerry Hince.
Hince, a 20 year army veteran with an additional 10 years in the reserves, stressed the importance of educating today’s youth on military service:
Hince is the recipient of a MSM and Legion of Merit Award. She is also a Jefferson Award Winner and the recipient of Congressman Flores' Veteran of the Year Award.
