DIME BOX BLACK BRIDGE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND
Downtown Dime Box will be a busy place this weekend as the Lions Club hosts the Dime Box Black Bridge Festival and 40th Annual Mini-Marathon.
Tonight (Friday) beginning at 6 o’clock in downtown Dime Box you can play in a 42 tournament, enjoy a free will donation chili and hot dog supper, then dance in the street to DJ Trail Boss Troy. On Saturday the 40th Annual Mini Marathon begins at 9 a.m. with a 5K, 10K, 2 mile run and a 2 mile walk. There will be activities throughout the day including the Little Mister and Miss Black Bridge Pageant, a car show, quilt display and craft booths, youth horseless rodeo, and a parade at 1 p.m. The barbecue cook-off will conclude with the awards at 4 p.m., and there will be music by CK the DJ.
