58TH ANNUAL LEXINGTON HOMECOMING HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND
The Lexington Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public to their 58TH Annual Homecoming this weekend.
It all kicks off on Friday with Night One of the Rodeo at the American Legion Memorial Arena at 7:30pm. Rodeo events will include bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and tie down roping.
There is also going to be a Street Dance from 8pm-midnight.
The Car and Tractor Show opens the day on Saturday at 8am. Registration is $20. There will be an awards presentation at 2pm. Winners are chosen by a fan vote.
Other activities include a parade through downtown Lexington, vendor booths, and shopping at local businesses.
In addition to that, they are having a barbecue cookoff from 12-3. Categories include chicken, ribs, and brisket.
Night two of the Rodeo begins at 6pm, with a Mutton Bustin Pre-show. The entry fee is $30 per rider. The remainder of the Rodeo events get underway at 7:30pm.
The evening concludes with a street dance from 10pm-1am.
Homecoming closes out with a luncheon at the Park Building on Sunday.
