BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO HOLD BUDGET WORKSHOP, VOTE ON COMPENSATION PLAN

The Burton School Board will hold a pair of meetings on Monday.

First up will be a workshop at 4:30 p.m., where trustees will review the budget for the upcoming school year.

The regular meeting at 6 p.m. will have consideration of items such as Burton ISD’s 2026-27 compensation plan, a safety and security audit report, the appraisal calendar, and an agreement designating Lee County extension agents as adjunct staff members.

Additionally, the board will hear a construction update and recognize the Burton Beta Club.  Later, it will review Texas Association of School Boards investment policy and take up an annual item to delegate contractual authority to the superintendent regarding the purchase of attendance credits for the 2026-27 school year.

Both meetings will be held in the Burton ISD Cafeteria.
