FUSION UNIT MAKES SEXUAL ASSAULT ARREST

Update: Jesus Macias plead guilty to injury of a child in January of 2017 in a plea bargain agreement and was placed on 5 years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $3000 fine, perform 300 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim.
A Brenham man is behind bars after his arrest by the Brenham Police Department’s Fusion Unit.
Late Tuesday morning, Investigator Joe Merkley and Sgt. Carl Wiesepape arrested 33-year old Jesus Macias of Brenham, after warrants had been issued for his arrest.
Macias was indicted back in May by the Washington County Grand Jury for the aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child/sexual contact.
The Fusion Unit arrested him in the 1100 block of S. Blue Bell Road.
Bond was set at a total of $90,000--$55,000 for the aggravated sexual assault charge and $35,000 for the indecency charge.
