HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGE

A Brenham High School student faces an assault charge after an incident at the school, Monday morning.
19-year old Selena Ann Herrera was taken into custody after an altercation with another student.
Around 8:30 a.m., Cpl. Lance Weiss responded to an altercation between a male and a female at the Brenham High School.
According to Weiss, Herrera verbally and physically threatened a 17-year old male with a piece of broken glass.
Herrera was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
She is charged with Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon.
