TEAIRA McCOWAN WINS UIL SILVER MEDAL

Brenham High School athlete Teaira McCowan has brought home a silver medal from the State UIL Track and Field meet in Austin.

McCowan fished second in the shot put, with a throw of 42’ 0”.

Chrystal Onwukaife of Cedar Park took the gold at 43’ 11”.

McCowan, a senior at Brenham High School, is the only athlete from Brenham to qualify for the state meet.

Last week, McCowan signed a national letter-of-intent to play college basketball at Mississippi St.
