‘VARIETY’ OF DRUGS FOUND DURING TRAFFIC STOP

A traffic stop Tuesday night for a defective headlight led to the arrests of two people who had ‘a variety of drugs’ including numerous prescription pills, real marijuana and synthetic marijuana.

Brenham police stopped an Isuzu passenger car on East Tom Green for the defective light but suspicions were raised when the driver tried to hide a fast food bag.

Police reports say the bag had more than food, a search found methamphetamines, and a variety of prescription pills.  Also in the bag was a small amount of marijuana and synthetic marijuana.

Thirty-four year old Bradley Durden of Houston and his 30-year old passenger Jessica Gaskamp of Brenham were arrested.

Durden is facing additional charges of possession of illegal drugs in a detention facility because jailers at the Washington County jail found more illegal drugs on him while he was being booked.
