IOLA ISD STAFF MEMBER INVESTIGATED FOR INAPPROPRIATE RELATIONS WITH STUDENT

  

A staff member with the Iola school district is being investigated for inappropriate relations with a student.

According to the district, the Iola ISD employee resigned after the school district says it was made aware of the inappropriate relations allegation. The school district put out a press release saying:

The Administration took swift action to initiate an investigation into these allegations and the employee promptly resigned. Iola ISD is committed to the safety and well-being of our students, and follows all applicable laws and policies in protecting them. This matter is currently under investigation by the Grimes County Sheriff’s office. Iola ISD will continue to work with the appropriate authorities to ensure that justice is served, and our students remain safe.

The position that the accused staff member held within the school district is still unknown.
