SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY COMES TO WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

The biggest shopping day in the United States has come and gone, but Texas leaders are urging everyone to support their local businesses today (Saturday) as part of Small Business Saturday.

Gov. Greg Abbott released a statement encouraging Texans to celebrate the day by visiting some of the 2.4 million small businesses that drive the Texas economy. Small businesses now constitute 98.6 percent of all businesses in Texas and employ nearly half of all private-sector employees.

Washington County Chamber of Commerce CEO, Page Michele, talked with Craig Montana earlier this week on the Community Corner on just how important it is to support local businesses:
