BRENHAM F.D. EXTINGUISHES VEHICLE FIRE ON HWY 290
The Brenham Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire on Friday evening on U.S. 290.
The vehicle fire, in the 1100 block of U.S. 290 East- near H.E.B. in Brenham, reportedly shut down traffic just after 5 p.m.
When Brenham Fire Department units arrived on the scene, they found a SUV fully engulfed in flames. The Salem Fire Department provided a tanker for water supply during the firefight.
The vehicle was a total loss, suffering extensive damage from the fire.
The Brenham Fire Department reports the cause of the fire in under investigation.
