GRIMES CO. S.O. RECEIVES “MAKE CHRISTMAS HAPPEN” DONATION

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office has received a donation to help with department needs.

The “Make Christmas Happen” program presented a $500 check to the office, Monday afternoon.

The “Make Christmas Happen” program has been in operation for 11 years and consists of about 20 members.

The donation to the Sheriff’s office was made by David and Becky Lewis of Iola.

The organization helps families and children throughout Grimes County with food, clothing, appliances, bedding and other items.  In 2016, the Grimes County “Make a Christmas Happen” assisted 10 families and approximately 30 children.
