COLUMBUS HOSTING “MAGNOLIA DAYS FESTIVAL” THIS WEEKEND

  

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public to enjoy some big time fun in small town Texas with the annual Magnolia Days Festival this weekend.

The event features free live concerts on the Colorado County Courthouse Square in downtown Columbus from 5pm-11pm on Friday and noon to 11pm on Saturday.

Friday’s lineup includes Sakura Guerrero at 5pm, Mason Marek at 6pm, Hillbilly Joel at 7:30pm, and the Spazmatics at 9:30pm.

Saturday’s lineup includes Faith Pore at noon, Tony Taylor and Scott Wiggins at 1:30pm, Beau Bayou and the Sabine Connection at 2:45pm, Doc West at 3:45pm, Hackemack’s Hofbrauhaus Combo at 5pm, Micky and the Motorcars at 6:30pm, Silverada at 8pm, and rounding out the night will be Jason Boland and the Stragglers at 9:30pm.

The Magnolia Belles will be presented to the public on Friday at 7pm in the Stafford Opera House, and on the Courthouse Square on Saturday at 1pm.

Other activities include a classic car show, an art contest, historic Columbus tours, a family fun zone, shopping at businesses on the square, food booths, a biergarten and a wine garden.
