BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER CELEBRATING ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY THIS SUNDAY
The public is invited to the Blue Bell Aquatic Center this Sunday to help them celebrate their 25th Anniversary.
The gates are scheduled to open at 1pm, and they are having a special throwback admission of just $3, which was the admission price back when the facility opened in 2001.
At 2:45pm, the 25th Anniversary Celebration begins with remarks from local officials, and the cutting of the cake by Aquatics Center Superintendent Tammy Jaster.
Other activities that afternoon, include the Hidden 25’s Scavenger Hunt, the 25-Yard Challenge, the Best Dressed Retro Contest, a Memory Wall, and music from the 2000’s when the Aquatic Center first opened.
The evening will close out with “Floats and Flicks” at 6pm. This month, they are playing Shrek.
Patrons can enjoy the movie while riding a flotation device in the water, or on the deck in the seating areas.
KTEX 106’s Tiffany Taylor will be out there in the KTEX Country Cruiser with the Wagon Wheel of Prizes.
