UPDATE: BODY FOUND IN WALLER CO. IDENTIFIED AS MISSING STUDENT

A body found in a wooded area of Waller County has been identified as a missing Prairie View A&M student.

20-year-old Tristan Houston was reported missing earlier this week.

Investigators found Houston’s body Friday night in Hockley along Clear Creek Road, but were unable to confirm his identity until this (Saturday) morning.

The sheriff’s office said they believed Houston was killed “execution-style”. An autopsy report has been ordered.

The sheriff’s office says one person is in custody at this time, however their name is not being released due to the ongoing investigation.

In a Facebook post Friday evening, the sheriff’s office called the discovery of the body “a tragic end to a young life”.
