PERSON OF INTEREST IN MURDER CASE IN CUSTODY

  

Fayette County Sheriff Sheriff Keith Korenek is reporting that a person of interest is in custody in regards to a homicide reported outside La Grange. On the morning of July 6th, 43 year old Jeremy Cornwell  was found deceased in his residence and appeared to had been shot multiple times.

A person of interest has been identified and is in custody being held on an unrelated charge.  The Sheriff’s Office along with the Texas Rangers, continue to investigate the incident and collect additional evidence.  It is believed by authorities that this was an isolated incident and the subject remains in custody at this time.
