A&M FOOTBALL PLAYER ARRESTED ON GUN & DRUG CHARGES

A Texas A&M football player has been arrested after an incident involving a gun, Sunday morning.
At around 2:30 a.m., College Station police were called to Campus Village Apartments on Harvey Mitchell Parkway after residents claimed two men pointed a gun at a number of people and threatened to kill them.
One of those suspects has been identified as 23-year-old Zaycoven Henderson of Longview. Henderson is a Texas A&M senior defensive lineman.
Henderson is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and possession of Marijuana.
Officers found both suspects trying to leave the complex. Police say they learned Henderson tried to hide the rifle in a nearby wooded area, where they found the gun along with a large amount marijuana.
Henderson was still listed on the team's roster as of Sunday morning.
