A new computer for the Washington County Environmental Health Department highlights an otherwise routine agenda for the County Commissioners Court’s agenda for this coming Tuesday.

The health department is requesting a grant from the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Regional Solid Waste Management Grants Program.  This grant would be used to purchase the aforementioned laptop.

Also in the agenda, the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce is asking to close multiple streets on the Fourth of July for its Independence Day parade and activities.  East Cedar Street would be closed from FM 1155 to approximately 200 yards before the Chappell Hill Historical Society’s Library, from 7:00 a.m. to noon.  West Sycamore Street, from FM 1155 to FM 2447, would also be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., along with Poplar Street from FM 1155 to Church Street.  Main Street/FM 1155 would be closed, from Providence to FM 2447, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Other items in the agenda include a subdivision variance request for a land division fronting FM 1371 in Precinct 2, a Re-Plat of Sandy Creek Estates, and the approval of pending Fairgrounds Management’s rental and regulations contracts.
