CALDWELL ISD HAIL DAMAGE CLAIM ESTIMATED AROUND $5 MILLION

Estimates show that Caldwell ISD could need at least $5 million in repairs for hail damage this spring.

A large hailstorm hit the area in March, bringing baseball-sized stones.  The track, which was just re-done in November, will need around $186,000 in repairs.  Superintendent Andrew Peters says he expects all of the roofs will need replacement.  Insurance is expected to cover most of the costs.

Caldwell ISD will look to hire an engineer to oversee repairs at tonight’s (Tuesday) board meeting.  From there, they will design roofs and seek bids.  The district hopes to have bids back by October, and start roof replacement in the upcoming school year.
