HANDICAP SWING INSTALLED AT DAVIDSON CREEK PARK IN CALDWELL

The city of Caldwell has installed a handicap swing at Davidson Creek Park.

Installed a little over a week ago, the swing can be enjoyed by anyone with a disability.  Ideas for the swing, which allows room for a wheelchair on the platform and secures it, came from a similar design at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio.

A Caldwell resident called Main Street Manager Michelle Mahfouz, who then got in contact with City Administrator Johnny Price, and before long the ball was rolling.

Caldwell Mayor Norris McManus praised the idea, saying it’s a wonderful thing for everyone in the community.
