‘CELEBRATE OUR SENIORS’ AUGUST 11TH IN BRENHAM

The 15th annual "Celebrate Our Seniors" program is set for Saturday, August 11th, at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The event gets underway at noon at the Event Center on East Blue Bell Rd.

The community is invited to help honor four senior citizens for their contributions to Washington County communities. The honorees include Wilma Jean Holland Finley, Bessie McNeil Jones, Thomas G. Stevens, and La Sandra D. Sanders.

A free BBQ meal is served to all senior citizens--65 and over, while others are asked to donate $5.

There will be live performances of gospel music and games with prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.

Additionally, representatives from home healthcare and other community-based programs will be on hand to answer questions about services available.
