MAN SENTENCED FOR ONLINE SEX SOLICITATION CHARGE

  

A Terrant County man has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to an online sex charge.

27-year old Montreyle Devon McCormick of Kennedale, pleaded guilty to Online Solicitation of Minor-Sexual Contact – a Second Degree Felony.

McCormick was originally placed on probation for the August 2015 case, but that probation was adjudicated.  He was also ordered to pay a $350 sex offender fee.

McCormick was one of four people arrested at the time, as part of an extensive undercover sting operation, conducted by the Brenham Police Department and Texas Attorney General’s Office.

Also sentenced, Thursday:

40-year old Willie Lee Williams of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to six months in jail for 2015 charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Williams was also fined $1500.

And, 30-year old Sarah Jo VonMinden of Brenham was placed on four years’ probation for a charge of Assault Public Servant – a Third Degree Felony.

VonMinden, who was arrested this past September, was also fined $1000 and ordered to perform 160 hours of community service.
