It’s a new year, and a new look for the Washington County Commissioners Court.
Both John Durrenberger and Candace Bullock took their oaths of office during a ceremony at the Washington County Courthouse this (Tuesday) morning.
Durrenburger, the new county judge, replaces John Brieden, who has served as judge since 2010. Durrenberger defeated Brieden in March’s Republican Primary, and ran unopposed in November’s general election.
Candace Bullock also took an oath of office, beginning her service as Precinct 2 Commissioner. Bullock won over incumbent commissioner Luther Hueske in March’s Primary, and defeated Democrat Ira Newsome in November’s Election.
Brieden and Hueske were also recognized for their service to the county at the ceremony.
