CITY OF BRENHAM TO HOLD INPUT MEETINGS FOR SIGN ORDINANCE CHANGES
The City of Brenham will be meeting two times in the next two weeks to hold further discussion on development of a new sign ordinance.
Staff will be holding a meeting this Thursday at 5:15 p.m., to gather input on signage standards in downtown Brenham. The second meeting will be held next Thursday, also at 5:15 p.m., and will focus on community-wide signage standards. Each of the meetings will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers.
Assistant Development Services Director Stephanie Doland will lead the meetings, and she and other city staff members will be at the meetings to help answer questions.
In addition, a copy of the draft sign ordinance amendment is now available for the community to review and provide feedback. You can view that below, as well as a demonstration showing what types of signs are being considered.

Following review by the community, Main Street Board, and Planning and Zoning Commission, city councilmembers will consider the proposed amendment in March.
Before this Thursday’s meeting, there will be a reception at 4:30 p.m. in the second-floor Administration Lobby next to the Council Chambers. The reception will look to welcome new Main Street Manager Caz Muske, along with the city’s Communications and Public Relations Manager Melinda Beckendorf Gordon.
