CALDWELL CITY ADMINISTRATOR HIRED TO ASSIST WITH CONSTRUCTION AFTER RETIREMENT

Caldwell City Administrator Johnny Price will stay with the city beyond his upcoming retirement date.

The Caldwell City Council approved at a recent meeting to hire Price on a temporary basis following his retirement on April 1st, to help oversee the new city hall construction project.  He will stay in that role until construction is complete.

According to Mayor Norris McManus, the city does not have a specific timeline to hire a new administrator, but it does have a March 15th deadline to receive applications and resumes.  The city is not looking to hire a search firm or interim administrator at this time.

The city’s electrical superintendent, Jerry Zavodny, and parks and sanitation superintendent, Thomas Trnka, will assist at the administrator position until a new one is hired.

Price has acted as the city’s administrator since the fall of 2009, but has been the city’s street superintendent since 1981.
