BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS TEACHER INCENTIVE ALLOTMENT

The Brenham School Board will gather for a special midday meeting on Monday.

First on the agenda for trustees will be an update on the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA).  Based in the Texas Education Code, the TIA program provides districts with systems and funding to recruit, retain and incentivize teachers to work in high-needs schools and difficult-to-staff positions.

After that, the board will consider approval of the annual instructional materials allotment report, instructional materials purchase, and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) certification.

The board will also take up an item for approval of Texas Education Agency (TEA) Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) grants for grant-funded contracted services.

Trustees plan to hold an executive session to consult with an attorney and discuss personnel matters.

The board will meet Monday at noon in the Brenham ISD Administration Office.
