BURTON CITY COUNCIL HOLDING BUDGET HEARING TUESDAY
The Burton City Council will hold a budget hearing Tuesday to allow citizens to voice their opinions on the city’s proposed budget for 2019-20.
The hearing on the budget was set at the council’s meeting on January 8th, when councilmembers approved the general and water/sewer budgets. Burton’s general fund budget targets $285,575 of revenue and expenditures.
The council will also consider keeping the same tax rate of 50 cents per $100 valuation, the same as the 2018-19 budget.
The proposed budget is available to view at Burton City Hall. The council will meet there Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
