SOMERVILLE MAN SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS IN PRISON
A Somerville man has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty in 21st District Court in Brenham.
28-year old Bobby Ortega was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance a Third Degree Felony.
Ortega arrested following a traffic stop in December.
Investigation revealed that Ortega was concealing numerous items in his vehicle, including drugs.
Also sentenced, Thursday:
49-year old Thomas Lee Franklin, II, of Houston, was sentenced to eight months in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony.
Franklin was arrested by Brenham Police in May of last year.
And, 35-year old Soklarng Mom of Brenham, was placed on four years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone—a Third Degree Felony.
He was also fined $2,000 and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
