BACK THE BLUE IN BELLVILLE SATURDAY

  

Dozens of first responders and law enforcement agents will gather in Bellville tomorrow (Saturday) morning, for the Second Annual Back the Blue event.

Activities begin at 8 a.m. at Clark Park, at 650 North Holland Street.  They include the 5K and 10K races, along with softball and kickball games.

Bellville Police Lieutenant Jason Smalley said anyone and everyone is invited to join authorities at the park for a day of fun, rain or shine.

 

Lt. Smalley said the event is a way for the community to meet and interact with first responders.

 

Proceeds from the event benefit CASA for Kids, serving Austin, Colorado, Waller, and Washington Counties.

Online registration is closed for the event, but people can still register the day of the event.  Lt. Smalley said registration will shut off for the 5K around 8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
