LLOYD SAUNDERS MEMORIAL COOK-OFF ACTIVITIES BEGIN SATURDAY

  

A full day of music, games, and entertainment gets started tomorrow (Saturday) in Brenham, with the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Cook-off.

Events get underway at 11 a.m. tomorrow morning at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Along with the Chili, Beans, Margarita, Bloody Mary and Chef’s Choice Contests, there will be live music with Bobby Z and The Trail Boss Band, an auction, and a bean bag tournament.

Barbara Saunders, Lloyd’s widow, says the event started as a memorial for her husband and a benefit for students, but grew into something much greater.

 

Saunders says the event is something everyone can enjoy.
