CUBS/WALLER OPEN CRUCIAL SERIES TUESDAY
The Brenham Cubs 2019 baseball season has boiled down to the final two games, set for this week against the Waller Bulldogs.
The Cubs (21-10/6-6) are currently in fifth place in District 19/5A—one game behind the Bulldogs (14-9/7-5).
The Cubs, who have won six consecutive games, must win both games in order to qualify for the post-season. Waller needs to win just one of the two games to clinch the fourth-and-final playoff berth.
Brenham is coming off a sweep last week over Magnolia (12-2, 18-4), while the Bulldogs swept Paetow (3-0, 4-3).
First pitch in Waller is set for 7:00. Blake Hickerson and Tommy Lange will have the call tonight beginning with the pre-game show at 6:40 on AM 1280 KWHI, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.
The two will meet in the regular season finale, Friday night at Firemen’s Park at 7:00.
