NOMINEES SOUGHT FOR 2019 BLINN ALUMNI AND FRIENDS HALL OF HONOR
The Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association is seeking nominations for its 2019 Hall of Honor class.
The Hall of Honor recognizes Blinn’s most distinguished alumni, local business leaders, and those who have made a significant impact in their communities or professions. Inductees are recognized at a luncheon during Blinn’s homecoming week festivities each year.
To nominate a civic leader with ties to the Blinn College District, complete the nomination form available here. Nominations are due by Friday, June 14th. Inductees will be honored at this year’s Hall of Honor luncheon on Friday, September 20th.
Each nomination will remain active for three years, or until the nominee has been selected for the Hall of Honor. The Selection Committee will consider the candidates’ affiliation to and influence on Blinn, career and leadership success, and participation in community, state, or national activities.
Last year’s Hall of Honor Class included Brazos County Commissioner and former Blinn College District Trustee Nancy Berry, philanthropist M. Scott Gilpin, Blinn Foundation Executive Director Susan Myers, former Chair of the Blinn College Foundation Board Walt Schoenvogel, and former Blinn College Trustee Dr. Robert A. Winkelmann.
The Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association maintains contact with all former students and friends of the College, encourages support for and participation in the educational, cultural, athletic and social programs of the College, encourages personnel recruitment of students by members, assists the College in achieving planned goals and objectives, and provides fellowship among former students and friends.
