The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is officially under new leadership.
Today (Wednesday) marks the beginning of Wende Ragonis’s time as Chamber President. The Chamber announced in March it had chosen Ragonis to succeed former Chamber President Page Michel.
Ragonis is currently the Principal Consultant for Ragonis Management Consulting. She says her past experiences as President of the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Sourcing Manager at Longwood Elastomers, and Director of Community Services for the City of Brenham will help her greatly at the Chamber.
Ragonis says she wants to focus on understanding the needs and goals of Chamber members.
Ragonis thanked Michel for her past leadership and mentoring her for this position. She said she is stepping into a great situation, as the Chamber currently stands on a strong foundation.
Michel announced in January she would be stepping down from the Chamber to take a position with Community Matters Inc. The Texas map and magazine publishing company has been a member of the Washington County Chamber for over ten years.
