HUNDREDS TURN OUT FOR “SUMMER SIP” IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

Large crowds came out to downtown Brenham Saturday for the 3rd Annual “Summer Sip” wine walk.

Visitors to downtown had the chance to visit over 20 participating stores offering samples of different varieties of wine.

Main Street Manager Caz Muske said, while the event operates at a smaller scale than the Uptown Swirl held in the winter, there was still a good time had by all.

Muske said totals from the event are still being calculated, but roughly 300 wine glasses—acting as tickets—were purchased out of the 400 available.  Glasses were sold for $25 each.

Muske said any profits from the event will be put into the Main Street Brenham program, towards different grants for the upkeep of downtown Brenham.
