POLICE IDENTIFY “BLUE BELL LICKER” AS JUVENILE FROM SAN ANTONIO
Police in Lufkin have identified the young woman seen on video licking a Blue Bell Ice Cream half-gallon and placing it back in the freezer as a juvenile from San Antonio.
The Lufkin Police Department said today (Friday) that detectives have spoken with the suspect and her boyfriend. According to police, she is tied to the Lufkin area through her boyfriend’s family.
Police said since she is a juvenile offender, her identity is protected under section 58.104 of the Texas Family Code. Therefore, her identity will not be released, and her case will be turned over to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. The case remains under investigation, and no charges have yet been filed.
Since the time that the video went viral on social media, Blue Bell traced the incident to a Wal-Mart in Lufkin. Before police found the suspect, they said they were considering felony charges in the case. The charge being considered, Tampering with a Consumer Product, carries a prison term of up to 20 years.
However, since the suspect is a juvenile, it is undetermined whether she will face the same punishment.
Police said they are currently discussing the involvement of the boyfriend, believed to have been behind the camera in the video. They have not yet determined whether he, as an adult, will face charges.

They both need to be taught a lessons here. Doesn’t matter what the age is. You can spread diseases of any kind like this. Let her like all the ice cream up what they had to throw away with her tongue You just can’t fixed stupidity now days unless justice is detected
She needs to be tried as an adult, she knew better. Wrong is wrong. I don’t care who you are. You do stupid things you get the punishment that is handed to you. If this was my child I would push for the felony charges because they did it to their self. This action was ridiculous and she laughed about it. SO not funny.
