BLINN, TEEX PARTNER TO OFFER COLLEGE CREDIT FOR FORENSIC SCIENCE ACADEMY STUDENTS

Blinn College has partnered with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to offer forensic science students the opportunity to earn certificates from both institutes while earning college credit.

Students who complete the TEEX Forensic Science Academy while co-enrolled at Blinn will earn 18 college credit hours.  They will also receive a Blinn College Forensic Science Certificate and the TEEX Forensic Investigation and Evidence Management Certificate.

By pursuing college credit, students improve their employability and become eligible for additional financial aid opportunities.

The agreement has been modeled after the Blinn-TEEX Police Academy partnership, which allows students completing the TEEX Central Texas Police Academy to earn college credit.

Blinn Criminal Justice Program Coordinator Robert Stanberry said Blinn and TEEX have a “longstanding partnership that has benefited students from across the State of Texas”.
