GRAND, RESERVE CHAMPION STEERS SELECTED FOR WASHINGTON CO. FAIR

  
The Judge selects Cooper Janosky's steer as Grand Champion.

The Grand Champion and Reserve Champion steers of the 151st Washington County Fair were selected Wednesday night.

The Grand Champion steer was shown by Cooper Janosky, representing Prairie Hill 4-H.  Janosky’s steer was the European Medium Weight Champion.

A 3rd grader at Krause Elementary School, Cooper is the son of Chad and Jaime Janosky.

Reserve Champion was awarded to the steer shown by McKenzie Tiemann of Burton 4-H.  Tiemann’s steer was the European Heavy Weight Champion.

McKenzie is the daughter of Wade and Julie Tiemann, and is a 6th grader at Brenham Middle School.

The two steers will be among numerous other animals sold at Thursday’s Junior Livestock Auction, taking place at 2 p.m. at the indoor sales facility.  KWHI will have live coverage of the auction, starting at 1:45 p.m.
